Samuel Aden and Julie (Snehal) Mehta, graduates of the 2013-14 AILP seminar, worked with the Des Moines-based nonprofit ASISTA.  They critically analyzed United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Victims Assistance Program, which exists to protect immigrant victims of domestic violence and trafficking.  Their report, "Immigrant Victims of Violence and ICE Victim Assistance," was presented to the Department of Homeland Security's Council on Combating Violence Against Women.
